Dr Mady Ibrahim Kante will speak on "The Nexus Between Climate Change, Terrorism, and the Dynamics of Pastoralism in the Sahel"

Dr Kante is a political scientist and internationalist, lecturer and researcher at the Univeristy of legal and political sciences of Bamako. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Sahel Academy for Peace and Security Studies and is a member (expert) of the Africa Science and Technology Advisory Group of the African Union on Disaster Risk Reduction (AfSTAG-DRR).

Dr Kante has authored numerous articles and books on security, peace, terrorism, and violent extremism. He is recognised as a expert contributor to EMP-ABB and holds the position of associate researcher at CARESS.
